Further Info

Join us for a tour of Brookwood Military Cemetery, the largest Commonwealth War Graves Commission site in the United Kingdom, covering approximately 37 acres. Brookwood Military Cemetery contains 1,601 Commonwealth burials of the First World War and 3,476 from the Second World War. In addition to the Commonwealth plots, the cemetery also contains French, Polish, Czechoslovakian, Belgian and Italian sections, and a number of war graves of other nationalities all cared for by the Commission. During the Walking Tour you will visit war graves from both World Wars and learn about the history of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. You will also find out about some of the casualties that are commemorated here. Please come dressed for the weather and in a suitable walking shoe. The numbers on the tour will be limited to abide by Government restrictions and social distancing rules must be followed. If coming by vehicle you will be directed to parking when you arrive. There is a direct train service from Waterloo to Brookwood Station from which there is an entrance to the cemetery. The postcode is GU24 0JB.
