Could you be a councillor?

Do you want to make a difference in your local community?

Do you want to represent the views of people in your local area?

Do you want to help influence the services the Council provide?

If so, you might be the right person to stand as a local councillor.

On 4 May 2023, there will be elections in Surrey Heath for all 35 borough council seats.

If you are interested in becoming a councillor, please come along to our Prospective Candidates event at the SHBC offices on Wednesday 23 November at 6.30pm.

The event is open to all members of the public and will give you a chance to find out the process of standing for an election, the roles and responsibilities of a Councillor and the support available to elected councillors.

Serving Borough Councillors and officers will also be at the event to give an overview of what they do.
